How to make more money from affiliate marketing
It is estimated that 90% of affiliates make very little or no money from Internet marketing. If you wish to join the 10% that make money from affiliate marketing, follow these steps.
1/. The majority of affiliates all promote the same stuff, so as advertising is pay per click auction style, they all compete for the same key words, and therefore the advertising costs more. Better for affiliates to sell niche products with fewer competitors.
2/. Many affiliates try sell products they would not dream of buying themselves - if you wont want it, why do you expect other people to want it? Sell stuff you would like to buy.
3/. Affiliates sell products of low value, so the commission is also low, so target products with higher value and reasonable potential for sales.
4/. Many affiliates work for affiliate programs that apply cookie expiry - after 30 days, if they sell the product, you don't get paid. Choose affiliate programs with no cookie expiry.
5/. Many affiliates pay too much or too little for advertising, and do not measure the cost of advertising. Download the free pay per click keyword analyser tool from Affiliates School.
6/. Scatter gun advertising describes an attitude that if I tell enough people, surely someone will buy. Sniper gun advertising is where you specifically target the type of customer most likely to buy your product - takes a little longer, and results in a far better conversion of sale rate. See Affiliates School
7/. Some affiliates pay for advice - Don't buy CDs, DVDs, Videos, Get Rich programs, How I make 300 trillion dollars a day for only 17 minutes work a month type scams. Get free advice from Affiliates School
8/. Some affiliates do not get past go, stuck trying to get their website running. Take my advice, try Blogger. 9/. Take time out to do an audit to see how little you make from your current affiliate program. Calculate the number of hours you waste selling products - divide the commission you get by the number of hours you work to calculate your hourly rate. Around 10% of affiliates get paid decent dollars per hour, whilst the vast majority act like monkeys and get paid peanuts.

Does Pay per Click Advertising work?
Pay per click advertising or PPC programs as run by Google Adwords and other search engines deliver customers who are searching for specific search descriptions to your website. PPC adverts appear on the right hand side of search engine results - click on an advert and you are directed to the company or person promoting the product. The advertiser gets charged a small fee.
If you plan to use PPC to get visitors to your website, obviously you run the risk of paying too much money for advertising, so it pays to do a little research on relevancy and type of key words you wish to bid for. For example, if selling shoes, you might wish to bid for the keyword "shoe", but as every other person selling shoes also wants to use PPC, the cost of the search term or keyword will be expensive, as they as valued according to the number of people bidding for them, like as in an auction. If you make your keyword more detailed and specific, e.g. "boots brown leather, size 12", people that search for that specific search term may generate fewer results, but people who search for specific items will be more likely to buy if they find exactly what they are looking for. Long descriptive search keywords are referred to as long tail keywords. Long tail keywords should costs far less money, and be more effective. What Affiliate Program should I join?
If every affiliate sells promotes the same products, e.g. ring tones and mobile phones, advertising costs go sky high, since everyone competes for the same key words on pay per click advertising programs.
Niche products are best to promote, since there are fewer people competing for keywords. I promote Hovercraft via my website, see Affiliates School This affiliate program pays very attractive commission with no top limits on how much you can earn. Another plus point is no cookie expiry - even if a customer purchases a year after your introduction, you still get paid, whereas in many affiliate programs, if the sale takes place more than 30 days after introduction, you get paid zilch. Many affiliates pay far too much for advertising, so visit Affiliates School to learn how to make a profit through affiliate advertising.

Starting a business and FREE SEX
Starting a business and FREE SEX
Many people dream of starting their own business, and some people are forced to consider self-employment during recession. It is all about finding the right thing and how you promote it, so more about the title below.
Many people consider buying a franchise from a large chain with their redundancy pay; this is not necessarily a good idea, thousands of spare rooms and garages around the world store vinyl printing machines that never quite produced any profit because of too much competition.
Here are 10 tips to consider when starting a new business:
1/. Completely revolutionary new product or service ideas are difficult to come up with, new product ideas are expensive to protect with patents, and expensive to set up tooling for. Look around and see what businesses seem to be doing well in a recession, and see if you cannot copy existing ideas. For example, stores that sell goods for a dollar, do great business during a recession, so why not start a market store selling goods for a dollar (stuff you pay less than 50 cents for)
2/. People love saving money in a recession, so buy and sell stuff that you can get at rock bottom prices, visit charity shops, close out sales, auctions selling bankruptcy stock or lost and found property. People have imported cheap goods from China, but you need to consider the potential hazards for goods that fail, toys that have the wrong paint finish, and the high costs of shipping and potential import tax.
3/. Global warming provides opportunity; we all need to do our bit to save the planet. Some people convert cars to run on bio fuel, or LPG, some people buy solar heating, or insulate their homes. Plenty of scope for business start-ups.
4/. Find a problem, and then solve it. Become an expert. Failing schools may bring in experts to advise on ways to improve discipline in the classroom. Many kids fail school due to disruptive classmates; so create a one-hour class explaining to kids why it is in their best interest to love discipline.
5/. Sell or represent niche products with little competition. It is important to understand the term of “niche product”. The perfect niche product is one that people have genuine interest in, that sell by the bucket-load, or sell for quite a high price (and generate high profits); that not many other people sell.
I promote and sell hovercraft, so let me explain why. Hovercraft are fascinating products, most people love them, would like to have a ride on one, or even learn to fly one, to experience the thrill of driving at speed from land, straight out over the water and back again at speeds of up to 40 mph. Hovercraft sell for more than mobile phones, so the profit potential is better, few suppliers manufacture hovercraft so there are not too many competitors, and as a consequence, Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising through the Internet costs less. The other big advantage is that many opportunities exist around the world, you can most probably think of several people, places and organisations who would need one or love to buy one. Pay Per Click advertising gets expensive if lots of people all try to obtain the same search keywords – PPC key words are sold by search engine advertising programs, in much the same way that products get sold at auction. If people all sell the same stuff, PPC advertising keywords are expensive, if you sell niche products, you have fewer competitors, so advertising costs less. Hovercraft can operate on all terrain, so I sell these to many different types of customer, from rental ride operators (great income) leisure users, fire and rescue organisations, SuperYacht owners, celebrities, military chiefs for homeland border patrol. The company I work for sell through dealers and affiliates who get paid generous commission to promote and sell hovercraft. You could also consider other niche products like microlights or electric vehicles. Typical profits for the craft I sell, can be up to about $6000 per sale, if you would like to know more visit http://hovpod-opportunities.blogspot.com/
6/. Photography provides a low start up business opportunity. Buy a decent camera, and then take photos at weddings. Use free editing software downloaded from the Internet to edit the photos, lighten dark shots, reduce “RED EYE”, sharpen images etc. Most traditional wedding photographers produce an expensive album, but this is an old fashioned approach, so why not provide a cheaper service by loading all images onto a DVD to give to your customers. In this way, they can just print off the shots they like, or even upload them onto the Internet to share with relatives, who can print out the shots they like. In this approach, everybody is happy. Some people charge between $500 to $1000 for what takes around 10 hours max, to include editing, so your hourly rate is between $50 to $100 per hour.
7/. I expect that many readers are wondering by now – when does this guy mention the FREE SEX. FREE and SEX are two of the most searched for terms on the Internet, and the point of this is that by searching for products on search engines, you can assess how many people search for this subject, or product or service. So coming back to hovercraft for example (I know a bit about them) not so many people search for hovercraft so this is a good and bad thing. If you were thinking of becoming a marketing affiliate to work from home, you might advertise products like ring tones or mobile phones, big mistake. Hovercraft are far less common products and sell for more money that mobile phones. The point of this is, if you sell what every one else sells, the field is too competitive, so therefore the profit margins will be too low, and the cost of advertising will be too high, as there are too many competitors. Affiliates make money by selling products, or writing articles and posting Blogs like this one. Going back to my earlier example, Hovercraft are niche products that sell for lots of money relative to mobile phones and as they are less common, they cost less to advertise. By writing articles, or even copying other people’s articles, by placing these and promoting them on their websites, by adding a PPC program such as Adsense, everytime someone visits their website and clicks onto the Adsense Ad, affiliates get paid a percentage of the advertising revenue. As SEX and FREE are “tags” within the article, and because when the article is published to search engines, the search engines index these “tags”, and so people will find the websites with the “tags”. So if millions of people search for SEX, or FREE, or FREE SEX, more people will A/, find your websites among the other millions of sites, B/. might click on the ads on your website, and C/. as these search terms are so expensive to advertise, the AdSense revenue will be higher for you. You can find out far more about how to become an affiliate on my website, please see link above.
8/. If FREE and SEX are very popular search engine (ok, forget ethics for a minute, the point I make is focus on learning how to advertise) you will find other “Trends” by searching on the Internet for news. Today, as I write this, Tiger Woods has been in the news for the wrong kind of publicity, so affiliates like me might “cloak a trend”. On a day of scandal many affiliates cloak a trend, to either write about the subject to try get people to click on their website to sell them stuff, or to get people following them on a social website. So I might write an article or post a comment about “Tiger Woods”, not because I am interested in golf, but because everyone else is searching for stuff on “Tiger Woods” If people find my article, or Blog post, which links to me website, they may click on my AdSense adverts, then I make money. Trends disappear quickly so strike while the topic is hot. Search for trends via the search engines.
9/. Affiliate advertising is a fascinating area of development on the Internet, so do read up on this subject via my website to find lots of free advice. Feel free to copy this article for your own website to generate income from AdSense for really sought after and expensive keywords.
10/. Advertising your business can get way too expensive, so think outside the box – leave free business cards in public areas for people to pick up, while they wait in airport lounges, coffee shops, on buses or trains etc. Many printers offer free business cards; do a search on the Internet. My website has lots of ideas to explain how to advertise for free.
In summary, use search engines to see what people search for. Not much mileage in providing free stuff for people, so find a product that people want or need, that is unusual, a niche product, that you can advertise cheaply on the Internet, without expensive overheads, like hovercraft for example. See the hovercraft opportunity on my website. By working as an affiliate, you have very low overheads and can work from home. By starting out at affiliate level. You might then become confident to become a dealer to sell the product chosen for better margins.

10 Reasons to Work From Home
To save costs, save time, reduce commute time, reduce Co2 emissions and help save the planet, more and more companies are investigating the benefits of having employees work from home. For individuals who have been made redundant, work at home technology makes it relatively easy to start their own enterprise to become self employed. Technology now provides scope for up to 40% of the population to work from home.
Here are 10 reasons why individuals and companies should embrace working from home.
1/. Calculate the costs associated with commuting to work. Consider the cost of private or public transport. Time spent on transport is “after tax” dollars, so the amount you need to earn to afford to commute should reflect tax and insurance you pay on earnings required to cover the cost of commuting. Consider the cost of fuel and vehicle depreciation. Many families can make do with one car, if one partner works from home.
2/. Valuable time is spent commuting to work, add up how many hours you spend per week, month, year getting to and from work. Once you total the number of hours, consider how much more effective you could be working from home. Or how more quality time you could share with your family. Many children suffer from lack of parental guidance – parents are often too fatigued to spend time with their children after a long day’s work and commute.
3/. Work from home employees usually work harder than commuters, as they have more time available, and tend to put in more “out of office” hours during bad weather periods. They have more time to think, and thus become more productive.
4/. Home workers suffer less stress, and less illness through less exposure to germs caught travelling on public transport. Home workers tend to be happier, and happier workers tend to be more productive.
5/. Home workers generate far less Co2 than office commuters, and so help the planet. Less commuters equal less traffic congestion allowing other workers to get to work faster, less fuel is wasted in unnecessary traffic jams.
6/. Home workers require less office space, heating and lighting, so companies able to grasp this fact save overheads and are therefore better placed to compete in times of recession.
